PM Modi Conferred Ethiopia’s Highest Civilian Honour

New Delhi: In the recent tour to Ethiopia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with Ethiopia’s highest civilian award, the ‘Great Honour Nishan of Ethiopia’, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between India and Ethiopia.

The prestigious honour was bestowed as a mark of appreciation for Prime Minister Modi’s efforts to enhance diplomatic, economic, and people-to-people ties between the two nations. 

This recognition highlights India’s growing engagement with Africa and Ethiopia’s acknowledgement of India’s role as a key development partner.

Accepting the award, Prime Minister Modi dedicated the honour to the people of India, stating that it reflects the deep-rooted friendship and shared values between the two countries. 

The award further reflects India’s commitment to fostering cooperation, mutual respect and sustainable development with African nations.
