IPL 2025: LSG vs DC Match Highlights and Live Updates

Lucknow, April 22 – Lucknow Super Giants raced off to a fiery start in their IPL 2025 clash against Delhi Capitals (LSG vs DC). However DC pulled things back with two crucial wickets just when things looked one-sided. The match is now beautifully poised at the halfway mark.

Explosive Start by LSG

Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose to bowl. The pitch looked flat, and LSG openers wasted no time. Aiden Markram attacked from the word go. He smashed a 30-ball fifty and dominated the powerplay.

Mitchell Marsh gave him strong support. Together, they built a 75-run stand in just 8 overs. DC’s bowlers had no answers early on.

Chameera Turns the Tide

However, just when LSG seemed in control, Dushmantha Chameera stepped up.
A surprise inclusion in DC’s XI, he struck gold. Markram went for another big shot but mistimed it completely. Chameera held his nerve and delivered the breakthrough Delhi desperately needed. He was caught after scoring a brilliant 50.

That wicket shifted the mood.

Starc Does What He Does Best

Nicholas Pooran walked in and got going quickly. He punished Kuldeep Yadav with two well-timed sweeps. But Mitchell Starc, who has a strong record against Pooran, struck again.

Pooran chopped one onto his stumps. It was the fifth time Starc dismissed him in the IPL. DC were back in the contest.

The Current Situation

At the end of 12 overs, LSG are 99 for 2. Marsh is holding firm, while Abdul Samad is new at the crease. The run rate is healthy, but the momentum has dipped.

Delhi have tightened the field. Their spinners are settling in. The next few overs will be critical.

High Stakes for Both Sides

Both LSG and DC are locked on 10 points. A win today could take either side to the top of the table. KL Rahul is facing his former team. Rishabh Pant is leading LSG with a heavily strapped hand.

There’s tension. There’s pride. And there’s plenty of cricket left to be played.
