New Delhi: 16 November 2025

Three 9mm cartridges were recovered from the Red Fort blast site, marking a significant step in the ongoing probe into the explosion that claimed 13 lives.

According to Delhi Police, two of the cartridges were live while one had been fired.

The ammunition, typically restricted to the armed forces or individuals with special authorisation, raises fresh questions for the investigation.

Despite the recovery, officers said no firearm or weapon parts were located at the spot.

A senior official quoted by ANI confirmed that the absence of a corresponding weapon has prompted police to examine how the cartridges ended up at the scene and whether the suspects had access to such restricted ammunition.

Authorities are also exploring possible links to Terror networks as part of the wider inquiry.
