Police Investigate Mysterious Death Of 17-Year-Old In Rajasthan
On August 3, 2025, the body of 17-year-old Class 12 student Ravindra Singh, known as Kalu, was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan on the third floor of his home in Reodar town, Sirohi district. Neighbors and locals rushed to the scene when family members raised the alarm.
A note lay next to him, scrawled on the last page of his notebook: You will die, Kalu. That chilling message shifted suspicions from suicide to possible murder. His father, Dharmveer Singh, named a nearby private doctor, Dinesh Sharma, as a suspect. The police registered a murder case and took Sharma in for questioning. An FSL team has arrived, and the post-mortem is underway.
From Grief to Gaining Momentum
It is hard not to feel the anger and fear rippling through the Reodar community. Family members say Dr. Sharma and his wife behaved oddly that day; his partner took other family members to the market while swiftly returning alone. Witnesses say Sharma brought a video showing Ravindra trembling and crying under duress. Then, he escorted the family upstairs to find Ravindra hanging. That sequence raises questions no victimโs family should have to ask.
By Tuesday, over 200 people had blocked the Kandla highway demanding justice for Ravindra. Parents, students, and women all demanded an independent investigation. Authorities finally agreed to send an expert medical board for the post-mortem after mounting pressure.
This Case Demands Transparency
We expect police to act quickly. But we also deserve clarity. This case has hallmarks of a preplanned masquerade. Bones twisted, knees touching the floor, a chilling notebook messageโnone of that aligns with suicide. If the system fails to probe deeply, justice loses its meaning. The community cannot continue to feel unheard or unsafe.
