ICICI Bank Manager Shot Dead in Lucknow, SBI Employee Suspected of Killing Wife

A 38-year-old SBI employee allegedly shot and killed his wife, an ICICI Bank manager, in Lucknow on Thursday following a long-running marital dispute.

The accused, Manas Bajpayee, had been married to Divya Mishra for 12 years. Police said the couple had been living separately for more than a year because of ongoing problems in their marriage. Divya had also filed for divorce.

Divya worked as a Relationship Manager at ICICI Bank’s Vivek Khand branch in Gomti Nagar.

According to police, Manas went to the bank on Thursday and asked Divya to come outside to talk. After speaking for a short time, he allegedly took out a gun and shot her.

Divya was taken to a hospital, but doctors declared her dead.

Police also allege that Manas shot and killed his own sister. He later died by suicide, according to police.

Before his death, Manas allegedly posted a WhatsApp status saying that he killed his wife because she was cheating on him.

Police are investigating the case and the exact reason behind the three deaths.
