Pakistani Celebrities Condemn Pahalgam Terror Attack, Express Solidarity

Several prominent Pakistani celebrities have spoken out against the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam region that claimed 26 lives, including two foreign nationals.The attack, which occurred Tuesday afternoon in Baisaran valley, has prompted heartfelt responses from stars like Fawad Khan, Hania Aamir, and others who took to social media to express grief and solidarity.

Fawad Khan Shares Condolences Amid Film Ban

Actor Fawad Khan, currently facing controversy over his upcoming Bollywood film “Abir Gulaal,” shared his thoughts on Instagram: “Deeply saddened to hear the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrifying incident.”

His statement comes as the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) reinforced its 2019 ban on Pakistani artists in Indian entertainment. As a result, “Abir Gulaal,” scheduled for May 9 release starring Vaani Kapoor alongside Khan, faces a ban in India.

“Grief Speaks The Same Language”

Hania Aamir posted a touching message highlighting compassion across borders: “Tragedy anywhere is a tragedy for all of us. My heart is with the innocent lives affected by the recent events. In pain, in grief, and in hope – we are one.”She added, “When innocent lives are lost, the pain is not theirs alone – it belongs to all of us. No matter where we come from, grief speaks the same language. May we choose humanity, always.”

Mawra Hocane, known for “Sanam Teri Kasam,” wrote: “My deepest condolences to the affected families.. an act of terrorism against one is terrorism against all.. what’s happening to the world???”

Singer-actor Farhan Saeed kept his message concise yet impactful: “Heartfelt condolences for #PahalgamAttack victims and their families. “Actor Usama Khan condemned the violence on X (formerly Twitter): “Terrorism is condemnable, regardless of where it occurs, whether in Pakistan, India, or anywhere else. We should stand against such senseless violence.”

The Attack and Government Response

The Pahalgam attack occurred around 2:30 pm Tuesday when terrorists opened fire on tourists in Baisaran valley. Reports indicate The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility.India’s Home Minister Amit Shah visited the site the following day, declaring the nation would never bow to terrorism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a Cabinet Committee on Security meeting to assess the situation and plan further action.The incident has sparked widespread condemnation across borders, with voices from both Indian and Pakistani entertainment industries calling for peace and expressing solidarity with victims’ families.
