BJP’s legislative party has elected Basawaraj Bommai as their leader. This comes after BS Yeddiurappa resigned as the Chief Minister. BJP’s high command sent Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Minister Kishan Reddy as observers to the state. Basawaraj Bommai was the Home Minister in the BSY government. He will take oath as the chief minister at 11am on 28th July. He will be administered oath by the new governor Thawarchand Ghelot. He will also meet Prime Minister Modi evening today.
