Trump Announces U.S. Strike to ‘Execute’ Leader of ‘Bloodthirsty’ terror group Tren de Aragua

13 June 2026: US President Donal Trump on Friday claimed that the US military had organized a strike to eliminate the terrorist group in Venezuela. The strike had killed Hector Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, also known as Nino Guerrero. He was the leader of the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua, which Washington had considered as a foreign terrorist organisation.
Trump shared the video of the strike on Truth Social and claimed that: “At my direction, the United States Southern Command delivered a swift and lethal kinetic strike to successfully execute Nino Guerrero, the infamous leader of the Tren de Aragus, one of the most bloodthirsty Terrorist Organizations on the Planet” reported by PTI on Friday.
US assured that the operation was conducted with the full cooperation and coordination with the Venezuelan authorities. The details of the operations were kept secret, also the Venezuelan authorities did not immediately comment on the announcements.
Guerrero has long been the target of the US authorities. The Trump administration had repeatedly sanctioned Guerrero and other leaders of Tren de Aragua over alleged involvement in drug trafficking, human trafficking, money laundering and the involvement in other criminal activities.
The Trump government is linking the operation with the broader programme of immigration and anti-crime agenda, and to bring peace and justice to the families of those they slaughtered. This action of the US military force brought retribution for those families, and their loved ones.
It was claimed that the US administration has previously alleged that Tren de Aragua coordinated some activities in the United States with the government of former Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro. The administration has cited those claims while defending some immigrants to a maximum security prison in El Salvador.
