Father Aslam Gazi arrested for raping his 13-year-old daughter in Jessore

Jessore, November 23: Once again, news of an incident that shames humanity has been received in Bangladesh. A rickshaw driver named Aslam Gazi (40) of Jessore, Bangladesh, has tarnished the sacred relationship between father and daughter. Taking advantage of his wife’s absence, the man made his 13-year-old teenage daughter a victim of lust. The police arrested him on Saturday (November 22) afternoon based on the complaint of the victim’s mother. The girl is currently undergoing treatment at Jessore General Hospital.

According to a Bangladeshi media report, the victim’s mother said that they live in a rented house in Chachra Bazar area of Jessore Sadar Upazila. Her husband Aslam Gazi is a rickshaw puller. On Thursday morning, he went to visit his father’s house. In his absence, Aslam Gazi raped his daughter at night. On Friday, he returned home and learned about the incident from his daughter. On Saturday, she filed a complaint with the Kotwali Model Police Station.

Tania Akhter, the doctor in charge of the hospital’s gynecological ward, said that samples have been collected from the girl’s body for medical examination. After the examination, the matter of rape can be confirmed.

Jessore Kotwali Model Police Station OC (Investigation) Kazi Babul Hossain said that Aslam Gazi, the father of the girl, has been arrested. The child’s mother has filed a case against her husband at the police station alleging rape.
