Minibus Crashes into Multiple Vehicles in North Kolkata’s Maniktala, Driver Absconding

Kolkata, Monday — Traffic came to a standstill in north Kolkata’s Maniktala area on Monday morning after a minibus rammed into several vehicles, police said.

The accident occurred around 11:30 am, damaging at least two private cars, a taxi, and a motorcycle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, officials confirmed.

The collision caused severe congestion on the busy thoroughfare at the start of the workweek. Police suspect that a brake failure in the minibus may have triggered the accident.

The driver fled the spot immediately after the crash. The damaged vehicles were later towed away to restore traffic flow. An investigation is underway.
