KALINGA STADIUM TO CREATE A NEW HISTORY!

For the first time, India will host the World Athletics Continental Tour. On Sunday, August 10, the one-day competition will take place in Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. With 160 competitors competing in 19 sports, the bronze event is a prominent competition that ranks just below the Diamond League.

Among the total 160 competitors 97 are Indian, and the other 63 are from abroad. 17 different nations are participating in this competition.

With Yashvir Singh and Sachin Yadav, two of India’s best athletes, competing, the men’s javelin is expected to be the main attraction. Animesh Kujur, the fastest man in India, will compete in the 100- and 200-meter sprint events, which are also expected to get a lot of attention.

SIGNIFICANCE OF MEET.

This event holds a landmark significance because it will give Indian competitors the chance to gain World Athletics ranking points (Category C) prior to the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo (September 13โ€“21).
