Haryana CM Launches Smart TV Project to Strengthen Moral and Digital Education in Schools

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stressed the need for moral education in schools. He said that India can become a developed nation only when its students grow up with strong values. Speaking at an event in Ladwa, Kurukshetra, he shared his belief that education should focus on both knowledge and ethics.

Smart TV Project Begins in Kurukshetra

CM Saini launched the Smart TV Education Project in Ladwa. The state distributed smart TVs to five government schools as a pilot initiative. The goal is to make digital learning tools available to more children across Haryana. The government plans to expand this program statewide.

The Education Department has equipped 1,485 government schools with LED smart TVs. It has also set up ICT labs in 1,201 schools. As part of a previous initiative, the state distributed over 5 lakh tablets to students in classes 10 to 12. More than 40,000 classrooms now use digital boards.

Sampark TV Boxes Installed in 7,000 Schools

To improve access to digital content, the government has installed Sampark TV Boxes in 7,000 schools. These boxes offer digital textbooks, videos, worksheets, and assessment tools. Teachers can use them to make classroom learning more engaging.

Smart Classes Expand in Ladwa and Babain

Ladwa and Babain blocks have developed 132 smart classrooms. Each classroom uses digital screens and tablets to teach core subjects. Teachers in these schools are trained to use digital tools in everyday lessons.

The state has set up Atal Tinkering Labs in all 22 districts. These labs help students build practical skills in science and technology. Over 5,000 government schools now have Wi-Fi access to support e-learning.

Focus on the National Education Policy

CM Saini said the National Education Policy (NEP) plays a key role in these reforms. He explained that the NEP supports both skill-based learning and value education. The Smart TV Project aligns with these goals.

Saini said the state wants students to grow with both knowledge and strong character. He added that digital tools help improve learning speed, but values help shape responsible citizens.
