Maharashtra Government withdraws plea challenging relief to Arnab Goswami in FIRs over Palghar Coverage

Eknath Shinde lead Maharashtra Government has withdrawn its plea, which challenged the relief granted to Arnab Goswami in 2020. Bombay High Court in 2020 had stayed FIRs registered against Republic TV’s editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami. These FIRs were filed after Arnab Goswami criticized the then-incumbent chief minister Uddhav Thackeray and the then-president of the Indian National Congress, Sonia Gandhi.
