Parliament Panel Tells Facebook To Appear In Person, Not Virtually

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information and Technology, headed by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor will be summoning Facebook’s officials to be present in person, while the panel examines the policy of the social media giant on upholding citizens’ rights and preventing the misuse of the social media platform.

Previously, the IT Panel grilled Twitter officials for about 90 mins. The panel will also summon tech giants like Google, in person to examine their policies.
