NBA’s Letter To BARC

On July 14th 2020, NBA (News Broadcasters Association) had written a detailed letter to BARC on the Rating Manipulation Scam. NBA in its letter conveyed to BARC that ‘TV9 Bharatvarsh’ had bribed households to keep watching TV9 Bharatvarsh, due to which TV9 Bharatvarsh witnessed a big spike in its impressions. Later, when they further investigated, the impressions of All the TV9 Network channels went up. This took place in the ‘Week 11’ of 2020.

Apart from this NBA also conveyed their unhappiness  of Republic TV being at the number 1 position since its launch. They have also mentioned that many channels from the TV9 Group have been found rigging TRPs.

Apart from this, 

TV9 has been put up. This has been reported in the forensic report given to Mumbai Police. This letter from the forensic report says,”AP 24/7 should be reduced further”.

Compromise of the Lutyens 

On October 5th 2020, NBA releases an Press Release saying, Matter has been mutually discussed and have agreed not go legal on the issue. After this, TV9 group rejoined NBA. Though proof of them rigging TRPs with Bribe and BARC officials, NBA kept quiet! India Today has been named by ED, who is also an NBA Member.
