ED Director Rahul Navin on 3-day visit to Kolkata

At the moment, sensational information is coming from the Enforcement Directorate. ED Director Rahul Navin paid an official visit to the CGO Complex Salt Lake at the agency’s eastern regional office. The program begins today, January 22, 2022. This official visit is scheduled as a 3-day tour. This visitor is on timeline: January 22, 2026 – January 26, 2026.

Rahul Navin held an hour-long meeting with senior ED officials after arriving in Kolkata. The main purpose of meeting with these senior officers is to get important information about the events of January 8, 2026. To inquire about the various cases in the past and the coal scam in which the houses of I-Pac and Prateek Jain were raided on January 8, 2026. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was also present on the occasion. Rahul Navin himself is investigating whether the investigation is being influenced, by addressing the security concerns of the ED officers i.e. to protect their lives.

This official visit is not only for these, it is also being reported that the legal and political conflict between the West Bengal state administration and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government has been going on for many days. Rahul Navin also encouraged the ED officials not to be influenced by this conflict in any way and conduct a transparent investigation. Rahul Navin also gave a message on how the ED is planning to proceed in the upcoming legal battle. Rahul Naveen did not come alone, he was accompanied by lawyers so that legal aspects could be examined on the spot. The legal battle between the ED and the West Bengal government was pending in the Supreme Court. This was necessary in preparation for the hearing. The main controversy was over the alleged obstruction by the state government while conducting searches on ED officials. Legal action was being taken in this regard.

After the visit of the ED director, many changes have been seen in the CGO Complex of Salt Lake. CISF security has been beefed up in the area where the ED’s eastern headquarters is located. The exact number of CISF personnel deployed is not yet known but has been increased “substantially.” The Central Government has provided Personal Security Officer (PSO) to the ED officials for their security. Besides, the ED officials are also learnt to have not relied on the state police while conducting various investigations or search operations. Additional central forces have been deployed. It is clear from this incident that neither the ED nor the central government is trusting the state police. High security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order. Strict action will be taken against anyone indulging in unlawful activities.

In this visit, Rahul Navin talks about speeding up the investigation. He directed that the I-PAC investigation and other related investigations, such as coal blocks, be completed expeditiously. It is being told that the owner of I-Pac, Pratik Jain, can also be called for questioning. Along with this, Fever suggested the ED’s request to hand over the investigation of I-PAC to the CBI. In view of the administrative constraints in the investigation and the security of the officers, an adequate number of central armed forces have been ordered to be taken. In future, the officers should not rely on the state police during any search operation. This visit of Rahul Navin was not just an official visit. The meeting seemed to re-invigorate the officers and further boost their morale for an impartial investigation.
