Bholanath Ghosh Accident News: Bholanath Ghosh Critically Injured, and his son and driver violently killed in a horrific car crash

Basirhat, West Bengal: Today, a critical car crash incident happened in West Bengal. A truck collided head-on with a car carrying Bholanath Ghosh. He is a prime witness in the sensitive Sandeshkhali cases against Sheikh Shahjahan. 

This incident resulted in killing of 32 years yongest brother: Satyajit Ghosh along with his 27 years driver Sahanur Molla and also his father is seriously injured. Biswajit Ghosh accused this incident was not a car accident rather it is a pre-planned attempt to murder orchestrated by Sheikh Shahjahan from jail. Sheikh Shahjahan was a prominent and controversial former local leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) party. He widely supported violations and allegations due to which he gained national-level attention in the year 2024. 

This incident happened on December 10, 2025, in the morning. It occurred on the Banati Highwar near the Nazat area. It was particularly in front of a petrol pump at Boyarmari. This area is within the jurisdiction of the Basirhat region of North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal, India. On December 10, 2025, Bholanath Ghosh was on his way to a court hearing in Basirhat. Biswajit Ghosh is the key witness of the Sandheshkhali cases involving the now-jailed TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan. He is a prime witness in the cases related to broader of Sandeshkhali violation and corruption investigations such as: 

Case No. 1: Attacking on the ED Officials: Bholanath Ghosh was a key witness in the case. The case involved the mob attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials. They were raided Shahjahan’s residence in January 2024. The raid was to investigate a multi-crore Public Distribution System (PDS) ration scam. 

Case No. 2: Broader Sandeshkhali Allegations: Bholanath Ghosh was providing a “critical testimony” in the connected Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) cases. The cases included grave allegations of land grabbing and sexual assault against Shahsjahn and his aides. 

Bholanath Ghosh is in critical condition as of Wednesday, December 10, 2025. He is admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata. Initially, he was treated at a local hospital. His son, Satyajit Ghosh and driver Sahanur Molla have been confirmed dead. Their bodies were sent for post-mortem examinations at SSKM Hopital in Kolkata. The police are investigating the case of the accident, with the Basirhat Superintendent of Police confirming the initial steps. The truck involved in the incident was found near the water body. The driver fled the scene. He is currently absconding. Official police complaints from the family were yet to be lodged at the time of the latest reports.
