Unlike the Yo-Yo test, which had been the benchmark earlier, the Bronco Test focuses on speed, stamina, and recovery in short bursts—qualities vital for modern cricket.

A player must record a minimum score (around 2,000 meters in 5 minutes) to be considered fit for international competition. Elite players often push beyond 2,200–2,400 meters, setting the gold standard for endurance.
