Operation Sindoor Truth: Modi Says India Faced No Global Interference
New Delhi | July 29, 2025
Prime Minister Narendra Modi firmly denied claims that global leaders pressured India to stop Operation Sindoor, saying no country or foreign head of state asked India to halt the mission. The statement came during a heated Lok Sabha debate where Rahul Gandhi questioned the government’s handling of the response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
“No one in the world asked us to stop the operation. Not a single phone call was made to hold us back,” Modi declared in Parliament. “India decided and acted on its own, within 22 minutes of the attack. We have not surrendered to nuclear threats or global pressure. That era is over.”

Rahul Gandhi Raises Questions About Government Transparency
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi accused the Modi government of warning Pakistan ahead of the strike and sought details about the operation’s execution. He asked whether India lost any aircraft during the action and suggested the strike may have been politically motivated or cut short due to international intervention.
“Why was the strike brief? Did we inform Pakistan in advance? How many casualties did we suffer?” Rahul questioned.
Government Leaders Back PM’s Assertion
In response, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh supported the Prime Minister’s remarks, stating that the Indian Armed Forces executed Operation Sindoor with precision and discipline. “We will not tolerate cross-border terrorism. Our response was swift, calibrated, and purely on our terms,” he said.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also took the floor to clarify that India maintained full diplomatic autonomy during the operation. “There was no talk of trade, mediation, or interference with any foreign nation. India acted out of necessity, not negotiation,” he said.
Modi Slams Opposition for ‘Speaking Pakistan’s Language’
Modi accused the opposition, especially the Congress party, of indirectly supporting Pakistan’s narrative by questioning India’s military decisions in Parliament. “By doubting our forces and leadership, you’re boosting enemy morale. You’re repeating what Pakistan says, knowingly or unknowingly,” he said.
No Compromise on National Security, PM Asserts
The Prime Minister concluded his address by reaffirming that India’s national security policy has fundamentally shifted. “This is a new India—we don’t tolerate terror, and we don’t wait for approval. Our soldiers protect our sovereignty, and this House must respect their courage,” he said.
