PM Modi Criticizes Pakistan’s Hostility On Lex Fridman Podcast

New Delhi, 16th March 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a landmark three-hour Lex Fridman podcast, who is an US-based AI researcher, shared his views on India-Pakistan relations, accusing Pakistan of betrayal and state-sponsored terrorism. Released on Sunday, this was Modi’s first podcast with a foreign host. Where he discussed a wide range of topics including geopolitics, democracy, and personal experiences.
Modi highlighted his efforts to foster peace with Pakistan, recalling his invitation to Pakistan’s leadership for his 2014 swearing-in ceremony. He said, “I invited Pakistan to turn over a new leaf, but every attempt at peace was met with hostility and betrayal.” Modi also criticized Pakistan for being the “epicenter of turmoil” due to its support for terrorism. He added, “The world recognizes that terrorism is deeply rooted in Pakistan. We hope wisdom prevails in their leadership to choose peace.”
The Prime Minister emphasized India’s commitment to global peace, referencing its cultural heritage rooted in non-violence. “India speaks of peace as the land of Gautam Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi,” he remarked. Modi also expressed hope that the people of Pakistan desire peace after decades of unrest.
