Islamabad Police Arrest PTI Chairman and Information Secretary in Raid on Party Secretariat

Islamabad: Islamabad Police have arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Information Secretary Raoof Hassan in a raid on the party secretariat, Express News reported on Monday.

The raid, led by SSP Hassan Jahangir Wattoo, was supported by a large police presence around the PTI office in the federal capital. Female officials were also part of the operation.

What the arrested officials have been charged of is not clear yet. The PTI has condemned the arrests and considers them politically motivated.

No details regarding the raid or the evidence leading to the raid have been shared at an official level.
