PES University Student Jumps from Fourth Floor After Examination Denial and Placement Threats

Bangalore, India – In a tragic incident at PES University, a third year student jumped from the fourth floor of a campus building after being denied entry into an important examination. The student had also reportedly been threatened with being barred from future placement opportunities.

Eyewitness accounts shared on social media provide a detailed narrative of the event. A student who witnessed the incident described the moments leading up to the jump, stating that they saw the student on the other side of the railing between the fourth and third-floor stairs of the boys’ washroom. Initially, the student held the railing, but within seconds, let go and fell. The eyewitness described the shock and inability to react in time, mentioning that the entire incident happened so quickly that it was difficult to process.

The incident occurred at exactly 10:10 am. After the fall, guards and teachers quickly responded, taking the student away. Despite the gravity of the situation, classes continued without any disturbances, leading to criticism of the university’s handling of the crisis.

This event has left the university community in shock and has raised serious concerns about the pressures faced by students. It highlights the urgent need for mental health awareness and better support systems within educational institutions. The administration has yet to release an official statement addressing the situation.
