Jain College Students Refute Claims of Being Forced to Attend Tejasvi Surya’s Nomination Rally

In a recent interview with NewsTapOne.com, several students from Jain College in Bangalore have categorically denied allegations that they were coerced into attending the nomination rally of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Tejasvi Surya.

The claims of student coercion were previously made by leaders of the opposition Congress party, who had shared screenshots from internal college groups as purported evidence.

However, the students interviewed firmly rejected these assertions. “We were not forced to attend,” one student stated. “A few students affiliated with the Congress party shared those screenshots from our internal groups outside, which fueled the controversy.”

Another student expressed gratitude towards Surya, saying, “Mr. Tejasvi Surya has helped our college a lot in many ways. We are rather happy to have been present at his event.”

The students chose to remain anonymous in the interview .

Tejasvi Surya, the BJP’s youth wing leader and member of parliament from Bangalore South, had filed his nomination papers for the upcoming parliamentary elections amidst a substantial gathering of supporters.

The controversy surrounding the alleged forced attendance of Jain College students had sparked a political debate, with the opposition accusing the ruling BJP of misusing its influence on educational institutions.

However, with the students themselves denying any coercion, the issue appears to have been put to rest, at least for now.
