The Bengal Blueprint: Amit Shah Unveils BJP Manifesto

In view of the upcoming assembly polls in West Bengal slated for 2026, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be releasing the election manifesto of the BJP, Sankalp Patra, in Kolkata on Wednesday. This manifesto is a result of the massive campaign called “Bikosito Paschim Banga Sankalp Patra – Paramarsha Sangraha Abhiyan,” where people’s opinions were sought from all over the state regarding their needs. This strategy marks a change in tactics for the party, as it seeks to move beyond its critical attitude toward the ruling TMC and work on creating a better plan for West Bengal.

Concentration on Women, Youth, and Financial Security:

As per sources, a major highlight of the BJP manifesto for 2026 would be a considerable boost in the social safety nets, especially for the womenfolk. As per reports, the BJP manifesto for 2026 would feature a provision of a monthly cash transfer of ₹3,000 for women in contrast to the state government’s Lakshmi Bhandar plan. Besides offering financial support to the citizens, the manifesto of 2026 would also emphasize securing employment opportunities and industrialization for the youth to prevent the outflow of labor from the region.

Apart from its economic commitments, the BJP’s manifesto strengthens the party’s ‘Sonar Bangla’ slogan by focusing on internal security and good governance. Amit Shah’s trip further indicates the intentions of the BJP Party in dealing with the issue of law and order, which is a common issue in its election campaign. The BJP Party has made its intention clear by issuing a charge sheet against the present government, where the party accuses the government of corrupt practices for 15 years. Through the presentation of the Sankalp Patra today, the BJP intends to prove to voters that the party provides an administrative solution to end misrule.
