Delhi Red Fort Blast Case: NIA Conducts Raids at Multiple Locations in Nowgam

The investigation into the 2025 Delhi Red Fort blast case intensified on Monday as the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted coordinated raids at multiple locations in Nowgam and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to officials, searches were carried out at several premises linked to individuals suspected of being associated with the wider network behind the attack. The raids were part of a broader effort to gather evidence and trace connections tied to the alleged terror module under investigation.

Sources indicated that the NIA teams searched multiple sites in the Nowgam area of Srinagar, along with locations in districts such as Baramulla, Kupwara and Kulgam. The agency has so far apprehended at least 11 individuals in connection with the case, including several medical professionals believed to have played roles in the conspiracy

The case stems from the November 10, 2025 blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, where an explosives-laden car detonated in a crowded area, killing several people and injuring many others. Investigators suspect the attack was part of a planned terrorist operation involving a larger network of operatives and facilitators

Officials familiar with the probe said the searches aim to uncover further evidence, including digital records, financial links and communication trails, that could help establish the full scope of the conspiracy. The agency is also examining potential cross-regional linkages, as several accused individuals have been traced to Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier investigations had already led to multiple arrests, with courts granting custody to enable detailed interrogation and reconstruction of the events leading up to the blast. Authorities believe that dismantling the support network is critical to preventing similar incidents in the future.

While there has been no official statement detailing the outcome of Monday’s raids, the NIA has continued to expand its investigation through a series of arrests, searches and forensic analyses across states.

For residents in the affected areas, the sudden presence of security personnel underscored the seriousness of the case. Even as daily life continued, the ongoing operations served as a reminder of how far-reaching such investigations can be—stretching from the heart of the national capital to distant neighbourhoods in Kashmir.
