‘Jo bole so nihal’: A teenage girl rescued from a Pakistani rapist by the thunderous chant of 200 Sikhs; video surfaces publicly

London : The roar of “Jo bole so nihal, sat sri akal” echoed through Hounslow in West London. Around 200 members of the Sikh community took to the streets in protest against the trafficking and rape of a 16-year-old girl. Allegations state that a man in his thirties had kept the minor confined in his flat. She was raped by him and six other men. Behind it was a Pakistani trafficking ring. Following the Sikhs’ protest, the main accused was arrested. Under police escort, the girl was freed.

The Sikhs’ protest and the girl’s release have gone viral on social media. Videos show the accused being taken away by police in arrest. According to the Sikh Press Association, the accused began building a relationship with the minor when she was 13 years old. After she turned 16, she was lured away from home through a trap of love. In this journey, thanks to the protest by local Sikh community members, the girl was freed.

Allegations claim that in Britain, “Pakistani grooming gangs” (rings trafficking women and children) have been involved in child sexual abuse for decades. They typically target girls aged 11–16, posing as friends, trapping them in love, giving cheap gifts to win their hearts. Usually, they lure girls from different religions and make them leave home. Once out of the house, threats and blackmail begin. They are then trafficked for huge sums of money.

Last year, billionaire industrialist Elon Musk himself spoke out on this issue. He stood in support of taking action against Pakistani rapist gangs. Musk tweeted, “For those poor little girls who were so horrifically abused, some of whom even died, they (administration) should do the right thing.”
