Youth Are the Driving Force of a Strong Nation: PM Modi

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi said that India’s youth are the driving force behind building a strong and prosperous nation, highlighting their enthusiasm, energy and commitment to the country’s growth and progress.
In a social media post, the Prime Minister expressed his eagerness to engage with young people at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, noting that the nation’s youth remain firmly committed to national development.
Mr Modi will participate in the concluding session of the dialogue on upcoming Monday in New Delhi to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. During the programme, he will interact with around 3,000 youth from across the country, including international delegates.
The Prime Minister will also release an essay compilation prepared for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, featuring selected essays written by young participants on India’s developmental goals and its long-term nation-building vision.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue aims to provide a platform for youth to engage with national leadership directly. The initiative follows the Prime Minister’s call to involve one lakh young people in politics without political affiliations and to help channel their ideas towards building a developed India.
The 2026 edition has witnessed participation from over 50 lakh youth at various levels across the country. Building on the inaugural edition, this year’s programme includes new initiatives such as Design for Bharat, Tech for Viksit Bharat – Hack for a Social Cause, expanded thematic engagements, and international participation for the first time, further strengthening its reach and impact.
