Bharat Taxi App to launch in January 2026

India’s ride-hailing landscape is set to welcome a new player as Bharat Taxi announces the launch of its app “ Bharat Taxi “ on January 1, 2026. 

The platform aims to challenge existing aggregators by giving stable and affordable fares with minimal surge pricing, a long-standing concern among commuters.

One of the key highlights of Bharat Taxi is its driver-first model. According to the company, drivers will receive over 80 % of the fare, significantly higher than what is typically offered by current ride-hailing platforms. This move is expected to improve driver earnings and retention.

The app has already seen strong interest from drivers, with around 56,000 drivers registered ahead of launch. Bharat Taxi will provide a wide range of commuting options, including autos, cars, and bikes, catering to both short and long-distance rides.

Company officials said that the platform is designed to balance affordability for passengers while ensuring fair compensation for drivers, positioning Bharat Taxi as a more sustainable and equitable alternative in the mobility sector.

With its nationwide vision and people-centric approach, Bharat Taxi is expected to intensify competition in India’s fast-growing urban transport market when it rolls out early next year.
