Paranoia or Precaution? Kim Jong Un’s Aides Wipe Away All Evidence After Russia Meeting
Kolkata, September 3, 2025:
In a striking display of North Korea’s obsessive secrecy, video footage has surfaced showing Kim Jong Un’s aides meticulously erasing every trace of the leader’s presence after his high-profile meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The viral clip reveals North Korean staff scrubbing the backrest, arms, and upholstery of the chair used by Kim Jong Un during the talks. They also carefully removed the drinking glass he used, placing it securely on a tray. The extraordinary measures are believed to be aimed at ensuring no DNA or forensic evidence of the North Korean leader is left behind.
Experts suggest that Pyongyang’s strict protocols reflect deep security concerns, including fears of surveillance, poisoning attempts, or intelligence gathering by foreign agencies. Such extreme precautions are not new — Kim’s team has previously been spotted taking similar steps during his overseas visits.
The Putin-Kim meeting, which drew global attention, has already sparked debates over military cooperation and diplomatic ties between Russia and North Korea. However, the meticulous cleanup by Kim’s aides has added another layer of intrigue, raising questions about the regime’s deep-seated paranoia and extreme protective measures.
While officials from North Korea remain tight-lipped, the video has fueled global discussions about authoritarian secrecy, security practices, and the lengths to which the regime goes to shield its leader.
