BJP Slams Rahul Gandhi as ‘Irresponsible, Hard to Understand’

1 September-Kolkata, India: The ruling party BJP referred to Congressman Rahul Gandhi as irresponsible and “hard to understand” on Monday after he reaffirmed his claims of “vote chori” and threatened the BJP with another upcoming expose, which he described as “a hydrogen bomb.”

Rahul Gandhi’s attack on BJP and Modi

On the last day of the 16-day ‘Voter Adhikaar Yatra’ in Bihar, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi described the allegations of ballot fraud in the Bangalore Central Lok Sabha constituency’s Mahadevapura segment as an “atom bomb.”

Gandhi further stated to the crowd that “You know what’s bigger than atom bomb — the hydrogen bomb. The BJP should be ready. A hydrogen bomb is coming.”

He did not elaborate, but previous recordings of similar allegations showed Gandhi grinning as the crowd roared “Varanasi,” a reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s seat.

On Monday, he said that “Once the hydrogen bomb drops, Narendra Modi ji will not be able to show his face to the people.”

BJP replies back to Gandhi

MP Ravi Shankar Prasad of BJP was really dissapointed with the words of Gandhi towards BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said “Every time I hear Rahul Gandhi speak, whether inside Parliament or outside, I have to deploy many types of antenna.”

He further added that “How are the atom bomb and the hydrogen bomb related to the elections? Why is Rahul Gandhi demeaning himself as the Leader of Opposition? The nation should understand, that Rahul Gandhi is irresponsible.”

Gandhi took multiple shots towards the BJP government in his speech where he stated the party as “forces who murdered Mahatma Gandhi [and] are now trying to destroy the Constitution of India.”

About the Voter Adhikaar Yatra

Rahul Gandhi once more accused the Election Commission of India (EC) of working with the BJP, saying that any vote fraud would also amount to “theft of rights, reservation, employment, education, and democracy.”

Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Adhikaar Yatra’ specfically questioned the purpoted inconsistencies in Bihar’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral records. It started on August 17 with Sasaram native Tejashwi Yadav, the head of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and Rahul Gandhi. It covered 25 districts.

Several crucial members of the INDIA BLOC have attended the yatra. They included Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, CPI(ML)-L general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Siddharamaiah of Karnataka, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of Himachal Pradesh, and Revanth Reddy of Telangana were among the other Congress chief ministers who took part.
