Pakistan Rogue State: India Exposes Terror Support at UN .

In a strong statement at the United Nations, India accused Pakistan of being a “rogue state” following its alleged role in promoting terrorism. The remarks came after Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif publicly admitted to supporting terrorist groups — an admission India called a “confession” that reaffirms Pakistan’s long-standing involvement in cross-border terrorism.

Pakistan’s Confession and India’s Response at the UN

India’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Yojna Patel, addressed the international body during the launch of the Victims of Terrorism Association Network (VoTAN). She called out Pakistan for its “direct role” in fueling global terrorism, citing Asif’s televised statement acknowledging Pakistan’s support for militants during conflicts in Kashmir and Afghanistan.

Patel stressed that this admission makes Pakistan a rogue state that not only harbors but also exports terrorism. “This public confession lays bare Pakistan’s policy of supporting terrorism to destabilize its neighbors,” she stated. She also criticized Islamabad’s frequent attempts to misuse UN platforms to launch baseless accusations against India.

Pahalgam Attack and Global Concern

India’s remarks come shortly after the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed several civilian lives. Patel noted that this attack had the highest civilian toll since the 2008 Mumbai attacks. She thanked the international community for condemning the attack and standing with India in its fight against terrorism.

Furthermore, Patel highlighted the long-term psychological and social effects of terrorism on victims and communities. She reiterated the need for nations to hold perpetrators, sponsors, and financiers of terrorism accountable. “States that shelter terrorists must be isolated and sanctioned,” she urged.
