East Delhi to Jewar Airport: 50 KM Expressway Updates

New Delhi:_ Big relief for Delhi-NCR flyers! Your travel time from East Delhi to Noida International Airport, Jewar is set to be slashed to just 60-70 minutes.

The Noida Authority has granted final alignment approval for a 50-kilometre-long, 6-lane elevated expressway_ that will start from near Akshardham Temple_ and go straight to Jewar Airport.

Inside the Mega-Corridor:_

– Total Length:_ 50 KM, of which 27 KM falls in Noida region

– Cost:_ โ‚น4,000 Crore

– Lanes:_ 6-lane main expressway, 8-lane at entry points

– Builder:_ NHAI will build and maintain it

– Status:_ Currently in DPR phase, soil testing to begin soon

Initially the alignment was on the Yamuna embankment, but UP Irrigation Department flagged flood risks. Now the route has been shifted 5 metres_ towards Noida side and has got final approval. A 120-metre-wide road from Sector 94 will be the main entry point.

Residents of Mayur Vihar, Patparganj, IP Extension, Kalindi Kunj, Sarita Vihar_ will get direct fast connectivity. The corridor will also link to Faridabad via Manjhawali bridge.

72.44 KM Ghaziabad-Jewar_ Namo Bharat + Metro corridor is also planned with 11 rapid rail stations and 18 metro stations.
