The Problem Isn’t Just Patriarchy—It’s The Men Who Think They’re Victims of It

When the Oppressor Cries Victim

You know what’s exhausting? The fact that every time women talk about abuse, wage gaps, or just existing, some man pops up with, “But men suffer too.”

It’s not even a debate anymore—it’s a deflection.

We know men suffer. Patriarchy screws everyone. But here’s the plot twist: instead of dismantling it, some men wear their pain like a weapon.

They’ve turned victimhood into an aesthetic. Turned “male loneliness” into TikTok edits, Twitter threads, and podcast rants.

And while they cry “We’re not allowed to cry,” they still manage to be the loudest in the room.

The Male Victim Narrative Isn’t New—It’s Just Louder Now

Let’s clear something up: “men aren’t allowed to cry” is not feminism’s fault. It’s patriarchy’s.

It’s the same system that raised boys on violence, ego, and suppression. But instead of unlearning that, many men decided it’s easier to blame feminism. Because God forbid a woman says, “Hey, maybe emotions are okay.” That’s when they lose their minds.

They say they suffer in silence—but we hear it everywhere. From reels to Reddit to rage-filled tweets, their silence is somehow louder than facts.

Toxic Masculinity: When Power Feels Like a Cage

There is pain in masculinity. But instead of healing, many men cope by policing everyone else.

They mock softness. They laugh at therapy. They say things like “women only want bad boys” and “real men don’t simp.”

It’s not masculinity that’s toxic—it’s the fragile kind that can’t survive without control. So they pick violence. They pick ego. They pick a version of manhood that’s always angry, always guarded, always above accountability.

Incels, Red Pills & the “Nice Guy” Delusion

This is where it gets scary. Online spaces are filled with men trauma-bonding over rejection. But instead of introspection, they find misogyny.

They become “redpilled.”They hate women for existing. They claim to be “nice guys” while spewing venom when told no. Incel culture didn’t grow in silence—it grew in forums, DMs, and algorithm-curated echo chambers. And slowly, it turned male pain into a weapon aimed at women.

The Real Enemy Isn’t Feminism—It’s Entitlement

This entire victim complex some men have? It’s rooted in entitlement. They believe they deserve love, sex, and admiration. And when they don’t get it, they call it oppression.

Equality feels like a loss only when you’re used to privilege. So no, feminism didn’t ruin men’s lives. Patriarchy did. The one that told them softness = weakness. The one that raised them to dominate, not coexist.

Healing Needs Accountability, Not Ego

Men’s mental health matters. Deeply. But healing won’t come from podcasts that blame women. It won’t come from using pain as a punchline. It will come from introspection. Therapy. Real conversations.

Not everything is an attack on men. Sometimes, it’s just not about them.
