Tahawwur Rana is to be interrogated by NIA today; should Pakistan worry!

The news of the extradition of Tahawwur Rana has set to unfold some dirty secrets of Pakistan. It is also seen as a big diplomatic win for India. Following his extradition, he will be in 18 days custody of NIA.

Under the tight security of Delhi police and intelligence agencies, Rana (64) landed in Delhi. This 26/11 accused immediately gets arrested by NIA. A special court in Patiala put a late-night hearing, which granted his custodial remand to the anti-terror agency until April 29.

Hard times for Rana will start today. Sources suggest that the focus of inquiry will be 26/11, Lashkar e Taiba, and his involvement in ISI, His role as a Pakistani spy agency will also get checked.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader (Uddhav Gut) Sanjay Raut has demanded to hang Tahawwur Rana immediately. He predicted that the BJP could do so during the Bihar election to gain votes. Raut also demanded the extradition of kulbhushan yadav from Pakistan.

Kulbhushan Yadav, a merchant navy officer, is facing a death penalty in a Pakistani jail for an accusation of spying. Meanwhile, India has dismissed all the accusations that Pakistan has made.

BJP slammed Chavan for his statement on Rana…

BJP recently slammed Congress leader Prithvi Raj Chavan for his recent remarks ove Tahawwur Rana. His comment on Rana advocating for him for his legal rights didn’t suit the BJP. BJP accused Chavan of showing a “soft corner for terrorism.”

Addressing media, Chavan said, “We demand that just like there was a proper trial under Indian laws for Kasab, he had the right to speak for himself and have a lawyer—he was given a lawyer, and he had the opportunity to appeal in High Court as well as Supreme Court.”

He has also criticized the process of extradition that the agency has followed. Further, he demanded a fair trial for Tahawwur Rana, just like Kasab.
