Paris Inferno: A major fire outbreak in Northern Paris

A massive blaze erupted at a Paris recycling plant on Monday afternoon near the city’s Court complex designed by Renzo Piano spurring more than 200 firefighters and 60 fire trucks to douse the fire. There is a speculation that the fire originated from the basement of the Syctom waste leading to this outbreak. However, late in the evening the city witnessed black fumes engulfing the sky above. The Paris Fire Department took to social media (X) yesterday to warn the public . They further instructed the residents to keep their windows closed and to avoid going outside until everything settles down. A Spokesperson said, “ There are fears that the wooden beams of the building will collapse and the wind will cause the fire to spread further north.” According to reports, no injuries were reported but the incident impacted a wide area and residents were evacuated. A 47 year old eye witness named Karim Aboulker said , “It’s a frightening looking fire – We’ve been told to move somewhere else. The entire area is very chaotic”.
