Medical aspirants protest NEET, 8000 sign petition for its postponement
Many undergraduate medical hopefuls are still calling for the test to be postponed, even though there are just a few academic calendar days remaining before it is to be held. The single greatest medical examination has been delayed, according to a petition made by NEET Aspirants on Change.org. Over 8,000 candidates have signed the petition as per latest updates. The petition’s language states, “We understand that the government is attempting to restore the pre-pandemic academic schedule, but postponing neet to just 15 days will not do any harm in our opinion.”
Why Are Students Protesting?
In light of the increasing COVID-19 instances, the medical aspirants asked that the National Testing Agency (NTA), the single organisation in charge of administering the exam, postpone it by one month. After taking the CBSE and other state board exams, some students complained that they had less time to study for the medical entrance test.
