Tape shows News18 India channel on landing page, after it claimed to have more reach than GECs
In an exclusive tape accessed by News Tap Global, News18 India can be seen playing out as soon as the setup box is switched on. News18 India this morning claimed that it reached more people than general entertainment channels reached.
News18 played out on Landing Page, on a network in a Non Metro city in India.

News18 group in 2018 had opposed the use of landing pages. In a letter to TRAI, it said Landing Pages would spike the rating abnormally, and listed out many ways which would make it an unfair competition.
News18 India, has claimed that it has reached more viewers than general entertainment channels like Star TV, Sony Sab and Sony Entertainment Television.
