India Today CFO Summoned By ED, For Fake TRP Scam : Details and Opinion on Republic Number 1

Reportedly, the Joint Commissioner of the ED has summoned the Chief Financial Officer of the India Today Group. This summons is in connection with the ECIR registered by ED, in the TRP Manipulation Scam.

While the police probe is underway, the central agency has summoned India Today group’s Chief Finance Officer to record his statement, said the ED official, without disclosing when he is supposed to appear.

In the FIR, which was registered by Crime Branch named India Today, but the Police went on to investigate Republic Media Network. Strange! but Personal Interests matters!

There are many official documents which mention India Today, but there are NONE which implicate Republic TV. 

Now, even after India Today allegedly bought TRP, they still rank below 2nd. Even though BARC has officially stopped measurement of TRPs of News Channels, there are other Audience Measurement groups which state Republic Media Network to be number 1. 

Chrome DM in their latest report gave a clean chit to Republic as the Number 1 channel.

Even on Open OTT Platform, Republic TV stays number 1! SRB OTT TV SURVEY in their latest report on 6-1-21, said that Republic TV’s viewership are at an all time high, when Arnab Goswami starts his show, due to which all the other channels’ viewership would reduce.
