The excellent performance of the century by Abhishek Sharma along with the excellent bowling skills of Eshan Malinga helped Sunrisers Hyderabad to win the game against Delhi Capitals by 47 runs in the latest IPL match played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. After the success in the toss, the team’s captain decided to bowl first against Delhi Capitals. However, the Delhi team failed to score due to the excellent batting skills of Abhishek Sharma, and Sunrisers Hyderabad set a fantastic total score of 242/2.

Abhishek Sharma played a tremendous inning, smashing sixes in all parts of his life. The first batsman of the team has played an amazing century in 68 balls. Capitals falters despite Rana’s lone fight

In reply, Delhi had a hard time getting used to the tight bowling of Hyderabad. As the run rate kept increasing, Rana once again kept Delhi’s hopes alive with a scintillating knock of 57 runs in just 30 balls. Alongside Rana, Sameer Rizvi and captain KL Rahul contributed to the cause with their valuable scores of 41 and 37 respectively in an effort to steady the ship. But even then, SRH bowlers continued to cut down any partnerships that developed during the middle overs.

The real difference-maker in the game was Eshan Malinga. The right-arm pacer produced his best performance on the night by dismissing four opposition batters in a row. He took the wickets of Stubbs and Miller one after the other to put the game in their hands. Consequently, the Delhi team were able to make only 195/9 in their limited-overs game and disappoint many people with regard to their performance. With yet another win, SRH managed to cement their status as league leaders.
