Greater Noida Techie Dies After Car Falls Into Water-Filled Pit; Family Alleges Rescue Delay

A software Engineer who was just 27 year old died after the car he was driving fell into a deep, water filled pit in Greater Noida’s Sector 150, this triggered outrage over the delay in rescue efforts by multiple government agencies.

According to the public and family, Yuvraj remained alive for 2 hours after the car fell into the pit. Relatives said that despite the presence of the police, fire department and SDRF, rescue personals hesitated to enter the water, they said the temperature is very low and the possibility of submerged iron-rods is high.

Yuvraj’s father said that the situation at site was chaotic when he reached the spot. An eyewitness “Moninder” claimed that he eventually entered the pit himself, tying one rope around his waist and he searched for almost 30 mins but could not locate the car or the victim.

Additional Commissioner of the police said that one case has been registered on the baisis of the family’s complaint and the investigation will be done. The incident has sparked fresh questions about night-time emergency preparedness and disaster response in the region, with residents demanding accountability and stricter safety measures at construction and excavation sites.
