SSC Ordered to Publish Complete List of 7,293 Tainted Candidates
Kolkata, December 1, 2025:
The Calcutta High Court has directed the School Service Commission (SSC) to release the full list of 7,293 tainted candidates linked to the Group C and Group D recruitment scam. Justice Amrita Sinha instructed that the list must clearly mention each candidate’s roll number, marks obtained, father’s name, and address.
Until now, the SSC has published only 3,512 names. However, the Commission had informed the Supreme Court that the actual number of tainted candidates was 7,293. This mismatch led the High Court to demand the complete list.
The court has also sought a separate list of those who secured jobs from the expired 2016 SSC panel. The SSC has been asked to submit this information on the next date of hearing.
The case will be taken up again soon as the court continues to review the alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.
