Rather than film in the real city, he chose a controlled environment. The crowded nature of Varanasi posed serious logistic challenges. So, he approved a ₹50 crore replica that delivers authenticity without disruption.

This artificial Varanasi set includes ghats, temples, narrow alleys, and riverside elements. It blends real architectural inspiration with Rajamouli’s unique vision.

Rajamouli Prepares for Kenya Shoot with Star Cast

After finishing portions in Odisha, the crew now shifts focus to Kenya.
