“There’s nothing on the case” : Robert Vadra responds after ED summoning on land case.

New Delhi: Indian entreprenuer and husband of Lok Sabha member Priyanka Gandhi, Robert Vadra responds after his latest summoning to ED office today in Delhi. While responding to the media, Vadra addressed the disappointment stating “Case Mein Kuch Nahi Hain” and is eager to reach a conclusion as soon as possible. Furthermore when asked about documents he said “Its impossible to gather 23,000 documents” and left the premises. He also added the case is purely based on political vendetta against him and his brother-in-law, Opposition Leader of Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi.

What is the Land Laundering Case?

Robert Vadra has been on the headlines for involvement in many money laundering cases before. The current summoning was regarding the land case in Gurugram, Haryana. The case is of a land deal happened on February 2008 where a company linked to Mr. Vadra โ€” Skylight Hospitality Pvt Ltd โ€” purchased a piece of 3.5 acre land in Shikohpur in Gurugram from a firm named Onkareshwar Properties at a price of โ‚น7.5 crore.

It is alleged that the mutation of this land was done within hours. The Haryana Police had filed a case in this deal in 2018.

Vadra walked to the ED headquarters from his home in Sujan Singh Park alongside guard for a stretch of 2 kms. He also expressed his full co-operation until the end of the case.
