New Parliament building to be inaugurated May 28: Lok Sabha Speaker

On May 28, the new Parliament building will be dedicated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

Two years ago, work on the new Parliament building started. The new structure is a component of Central Vista, the nation’s power corridor, being renovated.

The project being carried out by the Central Public Works Department also includes the reconstruction of the three kilometer stretch of road from the Rashtrapati Bhavan to the India Gate, the building of a single central secretariat, a new prime minister’s office and house, and a new vice-president enclave.
