Release Drives Access, Verification Starts 

Election Commission publishes updated 2026 voter list ahead of April 23 Phase 1 polling, enabling tribunal-cleared electors to vote. The Supreme Court directed publication on April 21, 2026 using Article 142 powers. Voters can access names on the official ECI website by selecting the add or delete list and entering constituency and booth details. Booths with pending cases do not display names. Voters can verify status using EPIC or voter ID numbers. Authorities also made lists available at district and sub-divisional offices. The Commission issued two lists showing additions and deletions after tribunal settlements. 

Court Order Triggers Inclusion, System Prepares Next Phase 

ECI followed Supreme Court directions to ensure fair participation. The court ordered inclusion of voters cleared up to two days before polling. The move restores voting rights of previously disputed electors. Reports show tribunals cleared 136 voters in the final pre-phase window. Millions of names remained under review earlier. Authorities expect further updates for Phase 2 after April 27, 2026 decisions.
