Caste Remark, Abuse, and Threats: HDFC Bank Employee’s Behaviour Triggers Public Fury

Uttar Pradesh: A shocking video has surfaced from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It shows a heated argument inside an HDFC Bank branch, where a female employee was seen abusing a customer. The incident took place in the Panki area when the female employee got into a sharp dispute with a customer. The tense argument was captured on video and has spread across social media.

In the video, a female employee named Aastha Singh can be seen verbally attacking the customer. Her unprofessional behavior and use of caste references while making threats have sparked widespread anger among the public.

The customer was initially upset about banking services. However, the conversation soon took a turn as the woman began to use abusive language. Aastha Singh went beyond acceptable behaviour. The viral video shows her using foul language towards the customer and behaving violently by pointing a laptop at him in a threatening way.

She even charged at the customer as if to physically assault him, but those nearby managed to hold her back. According to News18, the female employee openly stated her caste, saying, “Thakur hoon main…” She then threatened and tried to intimidate the customer. This type of caste-based arrogance and violent behaviour by an employee at a professional bank has caused significant outrage among people.

The incident took place in the Panki area of Kanpur. The viral clip also shows Singh in a highly aggressive state, threatening the customer while pointing a laptop at him. Social media users have voiced their anger over the incident, calling it a clear violation of professional ethics and customer rights. Many have demanded strict disciplinary action against the employee.

The video has also been shared widely on the social media platform X. One user commented, “So @HDFC_Bank @HDFCBank_Cares is this how you take care of customers? Wow, very impressive.” Another user said, “Look at the behaviour of your employee…”

As of now, HDFC Bank has not issued any official statement regarding the matter. The incident raises serious questions about workplace training, handling customers, and the presence of caste-based arrogance in professional settings.
