Lionel Messi GOAT tour organiser Satadru Dutta gets bail after 37 days

Kolkata : After 37 days of arrest, Satadru Dutta has been granted interim bail. On Monday, the Bidhannagar court granted him bail with conditions. Satadru Dutta, the organizer of Lionel Messi’s event, received interim bail in connection with the Yuvabharati Krirangan stadium incident. He was released on bail on a bond of ₹10,000.

Following the chaos that erupted during Messi’s event at Kolkata’s Yuvabharati stadium, Satadru was arrested from Kolkata airport on December 13. He has finally been granted bail.

Satadru’s lawyer, Saumyajit Raha, said, “Satadru Dutta has already been interrogated. After that interrogation, we applied to the court to see what progress had been made in the investigation. We also filed a bail application. After considering all aspects, the judge granted bail.”

Previously, Satadru Dutta had brought several world football stars to India. However, no one could have imagined that the G.O.A.T. India Tour 2025 with Messi would bring such a terrifying memory for Satadru. The tour began in Kolkata on December 13. On the very first day, a horrific incident occurred at Yuvabharati Krirangan stadium.

As soon as Messi entered the stadium, groups of VVIPs rushed onto the field. Because of these VVIPs jumping around Messi and running to take selfies, thousands of Messi fans who had bought tickets worth large sums of money could not even see their favorite footballer. This sparked intense anger. Incidents of vandalism occurred at Yuvabharati Krirangan stadium, including setting chairs on fire. Some spectators even uprooted the field carpet and plant pots and took them away.

Immediately after the incident, the chief organizer of the G.O.A.T. India Tour 2025, Satadru Dutta, was arrested. He has now finally been granted bail.
