The Raja Saab: A big budget cinematic shit

It’s not also a whole month into 2026 but we already have the worst film of the year. The Raja Saab directed by Maruthi, starring Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar is one of the worst films in the last few years. The director was so confused throughout the whole film that the film doesn’t follow a simple coherent story. Nothing in the film went right. It could easily be pointed out that more than half of the film was shot by Prabhas’s body double and his face has been swapped. Even his expressions were so lazy. The wig given to him also was so misfit. It’s hilarious that he charged nearly a whopping 100 crores for such third class performance. The love track with the tree actresses was so unnecessary and moreover ridiculous to sit through. The particular portrayal of one female character was so problematic too. The particular old aged look of Prabhas from the trailer which generated the most chatter was not included in the whole film. I don’t know really why does Sanjay Dutt needs to do every negative role that is being approached to him. Last month only he delivered a spectacular performance in Dhurandhar, but in this shit he only appears for merely 15-20 minutes for a film more than 3 hours long. The film literally feels exhausting and does not feel to at all least engaging. And these Pan Indian films always use an ear deafening back ground music throughout the film. The songs are misplaced, a dis jointed screenplay, lazy a pathetic performance fest let the film down. The director also had the audacity to announce a second part of the pathetic film. Though the film has collected nearly 100 crores on the first day, but is will eventually expected to sink down due to the extremely negative word of mouth.
