Mamata roars at the beating of patty sellers, ‘Home Minister is terrible,’ blasts Trinamool leader

Today, Thursday, from the stage of a public meeting in Krishnanagar, Nadia, Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee strongly attacked the BJP over the beating of patty sellers in the brigade. She also claimed that the BJP’s fortunes will be turned upside down before 2029. On this day, the leader also spoke out against the BJP’s communalism. She said, ‘When Durga Puja is held, we celebrate it together. Who are you? You are the ones who are making distinctions. I want to go along with all religions. I don’t believe in the politics of communalism. BJP has imported a new religion.’

He further claimed, ‘We all recite the Gita at home. What is the need for public meetings? Some BJP-branded people are being sent to Bengal from Delhi. I hope those from BJP who are reciting the Gita can hear me?’ The Trinamool supremo alleged that Bengalis are being pushed back from India on the orders of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. In his words, ‘We have a Home Minister in our country. He is terrible. There is no such job that he cannot do. Just looking at his two eyes, you can understand how terrible he is. Duryodhana in one eye and misrule in the other.’ Regarding the SIR, Mamata Banerjee said, ‘Now they are saying that the names of 1.5 crore people will have to be excluded. Now I am hearing that those who have given the names of their grandparents will be called for the hearing. And the names will be excluded from the hearing itself. If anyone’s name is excluded, I will sit on a dharna. I will continue to protest until their names are not mentioned.’
