TVK Chief Vijay to Resume Public Engagement With Limited-Access Indoor Meet in Kancheepuram

November 22, 2025 | Chennai : Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay is all set to restart his public outreach efforts with a restricted-entry indoor meeting scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Kancheepuram district. The event will begin at 11 a.m., and access will be granted only to 2,000 registered participants, as part of the party’s renewed crowd-management strategy.

This shift to a controlled, indoor format comes nearly two months after the tragic stampede in Karur, where 41 people lost their lives during a political rally addressed by Vijay. The incident prompted the party to reassess its public engagement approach, prioritising safety, limited attendance, and structured participation.

Vijay’s return to the public sphere is expected to be closely watched by supporters, political observers, and administrative officials alike.
